Crossroad rear sun blind issue

Hi, I have a 2009 Honda Crossroad with a gasoline engine and 130395 km on the clock. The sun blind in the back is giving me grief. It's stopped retracting and extending properly – basically stuck in one position. I also got an error message. Anyone else experienced this?

Summary of the thread

A 2009 Honda Crossroad owner is experiencing issues with the rear sun blind, which has stopped retracting and extending properly, accompanied by an error message. The problem is likely due to a defective sunblind motor, as indicated by error codes and the absence of operational noise. The suggested solution is to have the motor replaced, which a workshop has confirmed, estimating the repair cost at around 330€.

Sounds familiar. Had a similar issue with the sunshade in my old BMW 5 series. If you have an error code, it might be the motor that drives the blind. Is it making any noise when you try to operate it?

Thanks for the quick reply! No noise at all, completely silent. Is it a big job to replace the motor? The error codes are pointing to the sunblind motor as well.

Yeah, silent points to the motor being dead for sure. On my 5 series, it was a pain to get to, needed to remove a fair bit of trim. I would suggest going to a workshop.
