Crossroad rough idle and engine mount error
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Honda Crossroad is experiencing a rough idle and an error code related to a defective engine mount. Despite the mounts appearing visually intact, the issue could stem from a faulty cable or plug connection. It was suggested to check the engine mounting bracket, as it is a common cause and less costly to address. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by fixing a defective connection, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Thanks for the quick reply! Just to be clear, you're suggesting it's the engine mounting bracket and not necessarily the rubber mount itself that's more likely the culprit? And what about the cable or plug connection, is that something you experienced as well?

Yes, in my experience, it was indeed the engine mounting bracket. As for the connection, it's possible, but less likely than the bracket itself failing and causing the engine to vibrate excessively, which then triggers the error. However, it is probably better to give it to a workshop.

Understood. Appreciate the advice. Ended up being a defective connection as we initially suspected, but I wasn't able to diagnose where it was located. 95€ later, everything is working like new!

Interesting issue. I've seen similar on the Crossroad. A defective engine mount can cause the error to be stored in the error memory and can lead to uneven idling. I would first check the engine mounting bracket because they are less expensive.
