Crossroad Transport Mode Active
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Honda Crossroad displayed a 'Transport mode active' message, causing electrical malfunctions and a non-functional navigation system. This mode is typically used to preserve battery life during shipping and may have been inadvertently activated. The issue was resolved by having a technician reset the system at a workshop, restoring all functions without incurring repair costs.

Thanks for the insight. I don't recall seeing any specific checklist, but could this be something I can disable myself, or will this definitely require a visit to a workshop?

Given the symptoms you're describing, I would strongly advise against attempting to disable it yourself without proper diagnostic tools and knowledge of the vehicle's electrical system. In my case, the electrical malfunction persisted until a technician properly reset the system. It's possible that certain modules are still locked down, hence the navigation issue as well. A workshop visit is, unfortunately, your best bet.

Appreciate the advice. I had it checked at a local shop, and you were spot on. The transport mode was indeed still active. They reset it, and everything's working as it should now. No repair costs either!

I also drive a Crossroad and encountered a similar issue some time ago. The 'Transport mode' message usually appears when the vehicle is brand new, before it's delivered to the customer. It restricts certain functions to preserve battery life during shipping. Are you certain it wasn't activated inadvertently? Do you have access to the car's original documentation, or perhaps the dealer's pre-delivery inspection checklist?
