Crown Defrost Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Toyota Crown hybrid is experiencing a defrost issue, with a suspected faulty air distribution flap and reduced heating output. The problem is believed to be caused by a defective cable or plug connection, as indicated by a fault code in the error memory. A similar issue was resolved by recalibrating the airflow, but in this case, replacing a defective cable harness fixed the problem.

Yes, I've noticed increased windshield fogging. Is that also related to the air distribution flap? What was the resolution for your issue?

That sounds exactly like what I experienced. I recommend getting it checked at the workshop. In my case they said they recalibrated the air flow and the error disappeared. It might be a similar case for you.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective connection, just as I suspected. A new cable harness fixed the problem. Final cost: 95€ Appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my Crown's ventilation system. Was the air circulation also affected, causing windshield fogging?
