Crown fuel flap release malfunction

Fuel flap release not working on my 2005 Toyota Crown, gasoline engine. Error in memory, can't lock/unlock flap, and some functions unavailable. Suspect a linkage issue.

Hey, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my 2012 Opel Astra. The fuel flap wouldn't open, and it turned out to be an electrical fault. Have you checked the release button and the lock actuator?

Could you elaborate on the specifics of the electrical fault you encountered with your Opel Astra? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

Sure thing. For me, it ended up being a faulty lock actuator in the fuel flap. The mechanic said the whole release mechanism was kaput. It might be worth getting it checked out by a workshop.

I appreciate your insight. I will schedule an appointment with a workshop to have the fuel flap release mechanism thoroughly inspected. The cost amounted to 210€. Thank you again.
