Crown hybrid NOx sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Toyota Crown hybrid is experiencing a NOx sensor fault, indicated by a check engine light and an exhaust leak. The issue could be due to a faulty sensor, damaged wiring, or a bad cable or plug. It is suggested to inspect the sensor and wiring for visible damage, but taking the vehicle to a workshop for a professional diagnosis is recommended, especially given the exhaust leak.

The error code points to a NOx sensor failure, which I know is important for emissions. Can you share more about how you diagnosed the Volvo issue?

I checked the sensor and wiring for anything obvious, but didn't find anything. I ended up taking it to a shop since I didn't have the right equipment. With that exhaust leak, a shop might be a good idea for you too.

Thanks, I'll book it in with a workshop. Estimate is 95€.

I had a similar check engine light issue with my 2018 Volvo XC60, turned out to be a faulty emission sensor affecting the air-fuel ratio. Not an exhaust leak, but what's the exact error code? Have you checked the sensor and wiring for damage?
