Crown keyless entry fault

Hey, I've got a 2000 Toyota Crown with a gasoline engine and I'm having a weird issue with the keyless entry. It just stopped working, and the error memory shows some kind of fault. I'm guessing it's a cable or plug connection issue with the door handle electronics, but I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my old Audi A4. The keyless go stopped working. It turned out to be a faulty door sensor. These sensors communicate if the door is closed. If it doesn't work the whole locking system acts up.

Interesting. Was it difficult to diagnose the faulty door sensor? Did you need any special tools, or could you tell by looking at it?

It was a nightmare to diagnose. I had to go to the workshop. They have the right equipment. I advise you to do the same.

Thanks for the advice! It was indeed the door handle electronics as the workshop stated. I decided to get the electronics changed for 95€ and now everything is working as expected!
