Crown reduced engine power

Hey, I've got a 2015 Toyota Crown with a gasoline engine that's throwing me for a loop. I'm getting reduced engine power, and the car computer has an error stored. My auto scanner shows a fault code, but I'm not sure what's causing it. Mileage is at 119741 km. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2015 Toyota Crown experienced reduced engine power, with an error code indicating a problem. The issue was traced to faulty chip tuning by a previous owner. The recommended solution was to have the vehicle checked at a workshop, where the problem was confirmed and resolved.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I also have a Crown, and I had something similar happen a while back. Does the dashboard light come on when this happens?

Yeah, the dashboard light does come on. Did you ever figure out exactly what caused it? Anything else you noticed?

Yep, same thing happened to me. It ended up being a problem related to some chip tuning the previous owner had done with third-party providers. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it checked out properly. They'll probably be able to diagnose it quicker than you or I could.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to a workshop and you were spot on – faulty chip tuning. Cost me 180€ to get sorted. Appreciate the help!
