Crown Victoria brake pedal feedback
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Ford Crown Victoria owner experienced unusual brake pedal feedback, described as a metal-on-metal sensation. Initially suspecting worn brake pads or rotors, the owner also considered undervoltage as a potential cause. Another person suggested checking for sticking brake calipers, which can cause similar issues. Upon professional inspection, the problem was identified as worn metal brakes and sticky calipers, which were repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. When your brake calipers were sticking, did it feel like a grinding sensation, like worn metal brakes, or more of a pulsating feeling? I'm trying to figure out if the brake rotors could be to blame.

It was more of a shuddering, but I'm no expert. I'd advise getting it checked by a workshop to be safe. You don't want to play around with brakes.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out I had worn out metal brakes and some sticky brake calipers. The repair cost came to 240€. Everything is running smoothly now.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Crown Vic. I also got strange feedback when I pressed the brake pedal. Have you checked your brake calipers? Those can cause problems if they're sticking.
