Crown Victoria Charge Air Temperature Sensor Error

My 2009 Ford Crown Victoria with a gasoline engine has a check engine light and reduced power. I hear a whistling noise and hissing when accelerating. Diagnostics say it's the charge air temperature sensor. The car has 140387 km. I suspect a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this?

I had a similar issue with my Crown Vic. Check engine light, reduced power, the whole nine yards. Was the error code specifically pointing to the charge air temperature sensor, or did it give any other related codes?

The error code specifically points to the charge air temperature sensor. Are you suggesting there might be another underlying issue?

No, I'm just saying that's what it was for me too. I would recommend taking it to a workshop to have it checked. Replacing the sensor or fixing the cable should solve the issue.

Thank you for the input. I followed your advice and took it to a workshop. As suspected, the cable connection to the charge air temperature sensor was indeed defective. The repair cost was 95€. The issue is now resolved.
