Hi, I have a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria with a gasoline engine. The fuel flap release isn't working. I get an error stored and can't lock or unlock it. Also, some other functions are unavailable. Has anyone seen this before?

Hey there! I had a similar problem with my Crown Vic's fuel filler door not opening. Is the release button completely unresponsive? It's incredibly frustrating, isn't it?

Yes, it's completely unresponsive. No sound, no movement, nothing. Did you also get an error code? What ended up being the cause for you?

I did! From what you're describing, it sounds very familiar. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty lock actuator. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. They will look for faulty linkage or electrical issues.

Thanks! I appreciate the info. I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the lock actuator. The repair cost me 210€. All sorted now!
