Crown Victoria Lighting Fault

My 2007 Ford Crown Victoria with a gasoline engine has served me for 230762 kilometers. The lights switch on randomly, and there's an error stored, suggesting more than a blown bulb. I checked the fuse box but couldn't find a defect. Could this be a defective light switch?

I have a Crown Victoria and faced similar electrical issues. It was a faulty headlight switch. Have you noticed any flickering or dimming before they switch on? This might indicate a problem with the switch or a short in the wiring harness.

Thanks! I have observed occasional dimming. It's intermittent and unnoticeable, so I dismissed it. Could you elaborate on the issue you encountered? Were there specific conditions that triggered it, and what was the resolution?

Yes, the dimming was a key symptom for me. It progressed to the point where the lights would cut out completely for a split second. I'd recommend a trusted workshop for diagnosis and repair. They can test the switch, check the wiring, and pinpoint the cause. It'll save time and headaches.

Thanks for your advice! I'll schedule an appointment with a reputable workshop for inspection. The estimated cost of 95€ is something I can handle. I suspect the cable or plug connection is defective. This has been helpful!
