Cruise Control Issues and Fault Detected in a 2021 Dacia Spring Electric

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my 2021 Dacia Spring Electric. It's currently done about 84056 KM. My cruise control has been acting up and no longer works. Plus, I've got a fault stored. I'm deducing it may be related to the cruise control issue, but not entirely sure. Has anyone had a similar problem? Would really appreciate your experiences and insights, especially regarding your mechanic visits – had a bit of a rough time at my last one. Thanks in advance!

Summary of the thread

A 2021 Dacia Spring Electric is experiencing cruise control issues, with a fault detected that may be related. A similar problem in a 2018 Dacia Sandero was caused by a defective cable connection, which was resolved by a mechanic. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle inspected for potential cable damage or connection issues, as fixing these could restore proper cruise control functionality.

Hey there! I had a similar sort of problem with my 2018 Dacia Sandero. The fault being stored was all related to a cruise control issue as well. Turned out it was a defective cable connection, just like the one you mentioned in your post. I ended up taking the car into the garage and they had to take a good, hard look under the bonnet. After some solid examination, they discovered a damaged cable and some worn-out connections that were messing with the cruise control system functioning properly. Yeah, it was a bit of a serious issue, not because it was life-threatening or any such, but because I couldn't use the cruise control, and if you're anything like me, that's a feature I really rely on. Plus, the faulty cable was causing some other minor disturbances that I hadn't initially noticed. Until it was fixed, I had to adjust to driving without the cruise control, which was kind of a pain. After the work, my car was back to cruise control bliss. In a nutshell, don't panic but do get it checked out. Maybe it's a similar issue with your Spring Electric. Hope this helps!

Hey! Really appreciate you sharing your experience with your Dacia Sandero, honestly kinda puts my mind at ease that it might be something as 'simple' as a defective cable connection. Hats off to the keen-eyed mechanics who spotted the damage! Just out of curiosity, how much did it set you back to get everything fixed? And have you seen any other similar issues since they replaced the faulty cable or has everything been smooth sailing? Thanks so much for your help!

Hey, no problem happy to help! When I took my Dacia to the mechanic, the total cost to fix the messed up cable connection was about 95€, which really wasn't too bad. They gave it a good once over, patched it up and my cruise control has been ticking along nicely ever since, no more nasty surprises, thankfully! Seriously, getting that cable issue fixed was a game-changer for me, can't imagine cruises without it now. Hope you sort yours out as smoothly as I did mine! Cheers!

You've been a huge help. Pricey but sounds like it's definitely worth it if I'm dealing with the same cable issue. And it's really good to know your cruise control has been in tip-top shape ever since the repair. Can't wait to get mine resolved and finally experience some calm cruises again. Thank you! Cheers!
