Hey! Cheers for the heads up! It's a relief to hear that your issue with the cruise control wasn't a major one. Sounds like I should brace myself for a potential game of hide-and-seek with cable connections though, eh? Well, next stop, my mechanic's garage it is. I'm curious if you remember roughly how much you had to shell out for the cable replacement? Also, has any other issue come up concerning the cruise control or anything else since they fixed it? Fingers crossed for a smooth ride post-repairs! Thanks again for the help!
Hey! Yup, you're bang on about the game of hide-and-seek, but rest easy, it's indeed worth it! Regarding your question, if my memory serves me right, I had to part with roughly 95 Euro to get the cable connections sorted. Not the cheapest, but then again, not the highest I've paid for car repairs. And, to answer your other query, ever since the mechanic got his hands on it, the cruise control has been running like a dream. No more problems, no more dreadful fault stored messages. Can't really complain. So, keep your chin up! With a bit of luck, you'll soon be back enjoying the Lexus luxury cruise control! Thanks again for touching base and safe travels!
Hey! Thanks for the prompt reply and details about the repair costs. I was sort of stressed about this but you've helped put me at ease, knowing it's not a tremendously large expense. I'll follow your lead and have my mechanic thoroughly check the cable connections. I'm relieved to hear that you've had no other issue after the repairs. I can only hope that my Lexus cruise control will behave itself once it's fixed! Appreciate your help and advice. Wish me luck! I'll report back once it's all sorted. Safe driving to you too!
Hey there, I know what you mean, I had a similar issue with my 2010 Lexus RX Hybrid. Cruise control stopped working and all, and it turned out to be a cable connection problem. Had the crew down at my usual garage look at it, and they had to replace some faulty cable connections to fix the job. It was annoying, for sure, but not necessarily major. The good news is that, once solved, I've not had an issue since. So, maybe check with your routine mechanic if it's something down those lines, a messed-up cable connection or something. Heads up, it might take them a bit to figure it out, just cause it's not the most straightforward issue, you know? Anyway, good luck with getting that LX Diesel back to cruising smoothly!
