Cruze brake booster pressure sensor error
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Chevrolet Cruze diesel displayed a brake booster pressure sensor error, leading to poor braking and safety concerns. The issue was suspected to be due to incorrect brake bleeding after a recent service. A similar case revealed that air trapped in the ABS module could cause such errors. The solution involved a proper system bleed using a diagnostic tool, which resolved the error and restored braking performance.

ABS wasn't touched during the service as far as I'm aware. I don't have the specific error codes right now, but it points directly to the brake booster pressure sensor. Did you have to replace the booster?

In my case, the sensor itself wasn't the problem. It turned out air was trapped in the ABS module after a brake line replacement and messed with the brake booster readings. A proper bleed using a diagnostic tool fixed it. Given your symptoms and suspected cause, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop with the right tools. It could save you money in the long run.

Thanks for the insight. Took it to a shop, and you were right. System bled incorrectly causing the sensor to flag the error. Cost 90€ to fix. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Cruze. Same symptoms: error message, soft brake pedal feel. Was the ABS system involved in that recent service? Incorrect bleeding can definitely mess with the brake booster. Do you have error codes?
