Thanks. Could you give me more specifics about your experience? Did your diagnostics point to the accelerator pedal module, or did you focus on the throttle body and sensors? Any detail on your troubleshooting would be great.

My mechanic focused on the throttle body itself and the sensor. The pedal module could be the issue, but start with the throttle body. I had to go to a workshop in the end; it was more complex than I thought.

Thanks for the insight. Based on your experience and the symptoms, I had it inspected at a certified repair shop. The diagnosis confirmed a defective throttle valve, and I had it replaced. The total repair was 265€. Thanks for helping me find a solution.

I had a similar issue with my Cruze. Reduced power and the check engine light were the first signs. Have you checked the air flow? A response delay could also indicate a problem with the throttle body or even just a faulty throttle sensor.
