Well, I'm no expert, but I fiddled with the door switch after watching some video. It was still a mess. I'd suggest getting a professional to look at it. It's probably a dodgy wire like you first thought, but finding it can be a pain. I took it to a shop and they sorted it out pretty quickly.

Hey, I have a Cruze too, though I'm not sure what year it is. Your problem sounds a lot like something I ran into last year. My keyless entry went kaput on the driver's side. Did you check the door switch itself? Sometimes those things get wonky, like a light switch that flickers.
