CRV weak heating error code
Summary of the thread
A 2009 CR-V is experiencing weak heating, with only lukewarm air despite being set to high. An error code was detected, leading to suspicion of a defective water valve, possibly due to a faulty cable or plug. Another possibility mentioned is an issue with the heater core. The suggested solution is to have the water valve checked and potentially replaced, with a plan to visit a workshop for further diagnosis and repair.

Coolant level is fine. Heater core, huh? Interesting. What kind of symptoms did you have before the issue was solved? The error code pointed towards the water valve, but now I wonder…

Yeah, I had pretty much the same thing—weak heat, that's why I asked. Honestly, I didn't mess with it too much. Just took it to the workshop. They sorted it out pretty quick, but I can't remember exactly what it was.

Cheers for that! Sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. At least I have a direction now - water valve it is! Got a quote for around 95€, so hopefully, that's the end of it. Thanks again!

I feel your pain! I've got a CR-V too, and I had a similar issue a while back. Is your coolant level okay? That's the first thing I'd check. But if you are only getting lukewarm air, and have a stored error, could it be the heater core?
