User-induced error? How do you mean? I haven't touched anything related to the brake switch, or at least I don't think I have!

In my experience, the error message was caused by a software problem. I recommend visiting a professional to address the issue.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to my workshop, and they looked at the error memory, cleared the codes and refreshed the system. Apparently, there was indeed a software issue causing the false error with the brake light switch and it didn't cost anything! I really appreciate your help!

I had a similar issue on my CT200h. Error stored in the error memory and the tail light was malfunctioning. Have you considered a potential user-induced error?
