CT200h Electronic Parking Brake Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Lexus CT200h hybrid experienced a malfunctioning electronic parking brake, with an error stored and a warning light on. The suspected cause was a defective electric motor in the brake calliper. After further diagnosis, it was confirmed that the electric motor was indeed faulty, and replacing it resolved the issue.

The brake fluid level is normal. The error code indicates a problem within the electronic parking brake system itself, likely related to the motor as the mechanic said. What was the resolution in your case, and were there any other symptoms leading up to the failure?

My situation sounds very similar. Eventually, the parking brake stopped working altogether. Based on the error code and symptoms, it really does seem like the brake calliper. I would recommend getting it properly diagnosed in a workshop.

Thank you. I took your advice and had it diagnosed. The electric motor in the brake calliper was indeed defective, as initially suspected. The total cost for the repair was 505€. The vehicle is now functioning as expected.

I've seen something like that on a CT200h. Have you checked the brake fluid level or had the system scanned for specific fault codes beyond just the generic error memory?
