CT200h Engine Misfires Jerking

My 2022 Lexus CT200h hybrid with 249624 km is running super rough. The check engine light is on, and it's jerking when I accelerate, with a loss of power. I scanned the codes and it's showing combustion misfires. Anyone else experienced something similar? Thinking maybe it's the injection valve or injector itself?

I have a CT200h as well. I had similar symptoms a while back rough running, check engine light, the whole shebang. My throttle response was all over the place, and the car struggled to get up to speed. Did you check the basics like spark plugs and the air filter before jumping to the injection valve? It might be worth a look, as it's often the simpler things that go wrong first. Misfires are when one or more of your engine's cylinders aren't firing properly, which can cause that jerky acceleration.

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't checked the spark plugs or air filter yet. I was so focused on the misfire codes that I jumped straight to the injectors. But you're right, I should probably start with the basics! How difficult was it to check those on your car? Were the symptoms exactly the same that jerking feeling especially?

I definitely recommend checking those basics first because I didn’t and ended up in the workshop. It sounds extremely similar. That jerking feeling, especially when accelerating, was a key indicator for me. To be honest, when it got to that stage, I took it straight to a mechanic. With the hybrid system and potential fuel injection issues, I didn't want to mess around and risk making things worse myself. Best to get it diagnosed properly!

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I appreciate you sharing your experience. Looks like I'll be doing the same and booking it into the shop. They've confirmed that it was indeed a defective fuel injector, so they're replacing it. Total cost is around 515€. Fingers crossed this finally solves the issue!
