CT200h Fog Sensor Issue

I'm having a weird issue with my 2022 Lexus CT200h hybrid. I keep getting an error stored in the error memory related to the fog sensor. As a result the air conditioning system doesn't want to switch on, and it looks like even my spray nozzles are frozen at cold temperatures and the mirror heating isn't working either... The repair shop suspects a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else run into this? It's driving me nuts!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I've got a CT200h too, though I can't remember the year off the top of my head. I had some funky stuff happening with my climate control and mirror heating a while back. Did the error code point specifically to the fog sensor, or just a general sensor malfunction? What mileage are you at?

Thanks for the quick reply! The error code does specifically mention the fog sensor, which seems odd. I'm at about 60381 km. Did your issues also include the frozen spray nozzles? I thought that was a separate problem at first.

Okay, that's definitely sounding like the same gremlin I had! Yeah, the spray nozzles were part of the package of weirdness. In my case, it turned out to be a corroded connector. Honestly, I'd say just take it to the shop. Seems like they already know the likely cause. It cost me around 95€ to sort out.

Awesome, thanks a bunch! Knowing that someone else has experienced something similar makes me feel a lot better. I’ll let them check the cable and plug connection. Hopefully that fixes it. Appreciate the help!
