CT200h Oil Level Sensor Fault

I've got a 2014 Lexus CT200h hybrid with just under 53500 km. Lately, I've been getting an "oil level sensor faulty" error on the speedometer, alongside the oil pressure warning lamp lighting up occasionally. Error memory also confirms the fault. Is this a common thing? I checked the oil level, and it seems fine. Anyone experienced similar issues?

Sounds familiar. Had a similar oil level issue with my old Saab, though not a hybrid. Same symptoms - warning light, error message. Did you check the sensor's wiring? Could be a simple connection issue.

Thanks for the tip! Wiring was my first instinct, too. Where exactly should I be looking for the said sensor's wiring? Underneath the car, or is it more accessible from the engine bay?

On my Saab it was a pain to get to, underneath mostly, but I'd start by checking the accessible connections in the engine bay first. If that looks okay, a garage might be best. No point getting your hands dirty for nothing.

Took it to the shop as suggested. Turned out to be a defective connector as suspected. They replaced the connector, and the error is gone. Total cost: 95€ Thanks a bunch for pointing me in the right direction!
