Calibration, you say? Interesting thought. How would I go about checking the calibration? I've mostly been poking around the wiring and connections, trying to see if anything obvious jumps out. Is there a specific procedure?

I didn't mess with calibration myself, I'm not really comfortable diving that deep. I just took mine to a trusted workshop, they ran some diagnostics, confirmed it was the sensor circuit acting up, and sorted it out. They suspected a frayed wire in the harness. Best bet would be to get it checked by someone who knows these cars.

Thanks for the tip! I appreciate the insight. Sounds like I should probably just take it in. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable, the repair was about 95€. At least now my tailgate opens with the enthusiasm it once had!

That sounds familiar. I had a similar thing happen with my CT200h. It might be worth checking the wiring harness that runs to the tailgate. Sometimes those wires can get a bit frayed or loose. Are you sure it's not just a calibration issue though?
