CT200h Transmission Sensor Issue

I'm having a worrying issue with my 2020 Lexus CT200h hybrid. It's done 65775 km. The engine warning light came on, and sometimes the transmission warning light does too. I plugged in an OBD reader and it's showing an error related to the transmission oil temperature sensor. I've also noticed the gearbox sometimes goes into what feels like an emergency mode, shifts are unclean at times, and occasionally there's a slight grinding noise when shifting. Could this be related to the sensor or something more serious?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my CT200h. Did you check your gearbox oil level? Low oil can cause the sensor to throw a code and lead to those symptoms.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the gearbox oil level yet. Is it easy to check on the CT200h, and where is the dipstick located? Or is it a more complicated process?

There's no dipstick. It's a sealed transmission, so you need to remove a check plug to verify the level. Honestly, with those symptoms and the error code, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Could save you from bigger problems later.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out the gearbox oil level was indeed low, causing the sensor to malfunction. They topped it up and replaced the faulty sensor. Total cost was 365€ Appreciate the help!
