Cube NOx Sensor Faulty Cable
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around a 2016 Nissan Cube experiencing a NOx sensor issue, indicated by a check engine light and an OBDII scanner error. The problem is suspected to be related to a faulty sensor cable or plug, compounded by an existing exhaust leak. A suggestion is made to inspect the sensor and wiring for visible damage, but ultimately, professional diagnosis and repair are recommended. The mechanic confirms the faulty cable and replaces the NOx sensor.

I checked for obvious damage like frayed wires or cracks, but didn't see anything. Could be internal damage I can't see. Was your air-fuel ratio sensor issue a bad connection, or something else?

Mine was a corroded connector and a sensor that was starting to fail. Since you have an exhaust leak, which could mess with the sensor's readings, I wouldn't try fixing it yourself without the right tools and knowledge. I took my Opel to a shop, and they sorted it out quickly. Maybe see a mechanic?

Thanks for the advice. I booked it in, and the mechanic confirmed the cable was faulty and the NOx sensor needed replacing. Cost 95€.

I had a similar thing with my 2018 Opel Insignia, but it was the air-fuel ratio sensor. Check engine light and error codes sound familiar. Did you check the sensor itself and wiring for damage?
