Hey! Thanks for the advice, seems your Duster and my Dokker might be kindred spirits, eh? Appreciate the preventive approach you've got, might be time for me to stop stalling and get my ride checked out. Just out of curiosity, can you recall roughly how much lighter your wallet was after getting those brake pads replaced? And have you faced any more problems related to this since then? Cheers again for the help!

Hey, good to hear from you again! Totally believe our rides are long lost siblings, ha! As for your question, I did have to cough up around 480€ for the brake fix. Not exactly peanuts but considering it's about safety and prolonging the life of my Dacia, it's a good investment. After the brakes were sorted, it's been smooth sailing - or should I say driving? No more flickering warning light, no more doubts, and the brakes are working like a charm. Going to the mechanic seemed like a hassle, but that definitely put a stop to the brake wear issue for me. Hope your trip to the mechanic gets you sorted out in the same way! Drive safe.

Ahh, seems like a small price to pay for peace of mind and the safety of our beloved Dacia siblings, eh? Thanks a million for sharing your experience and the cost details. I feel much more prepared now to take on the mechanic, whatever the issues might be. Let's hope for smooth driving post-visit like it turned out for you. Drive safe and take care! Cheers for all the wisdom.

Hey there. Your suspicion about worn brakes might be spot on. Had a similar drama with my 2013 Dacia Duster. It had around 50000 KM on the clock, and the warning light started flickering just like you mentioned. I initially brushed it off, but it got more frequent, and I thought it best to clear my doubts. Turned out to be the brake pads that were worn down. Got em replaced and problem vanished. Didn't turn out to be a serious issue as I took it in time. Looks like regular maintenance and early action work wonders. If you too suspect it's the brakes, I'd say trust your gut and take your ride for a checkup. Better safe than sorry. Always remember, we need our old faithfuls to keep running smoothly. Take care of your Dacia like it's a hotrod, and she'll run like one. Good luck with your ride!
