Hey there, Thanks for the help! Appreciate your insights. So, here's more info about my Lodgy. It's done about 105,983 KM so far and I got it serviced a couple of months back. Nothing major was done during the last service - just standard tune-up stuff. No extra work really. Besides the wipers and the warning light issue, I haven't noticed any other symptoms. I haven't fiddled with anything under the hood or got any new parts added recently. Maybe the last service messed something up? Not really sure here. Thanks again for the help and hope this info helps you help me better. Cheers!
Hey! Thanks for the additional info! Clarifies a bit more. With almost 106k KM, it seems your Lodgy has been around the block quite a few times. Props on taking good care of her! About your issue though, since it started post-maintenance, it could be an after-effect of the last service. Maybe they didn't reattach a wire properly, or something got knocked loose. It happens sometimes, especially with the more used models. Still, it's hard to say for sure if this is a wiring fault. It could also be what you were thinking originally - a faulty wiper relay. My sister, who drives a 2016 Lodgy as well, had a similar problem and the culprit was indeed the relay. My advice would be to have a good mechanic give her a check-up ASAP. Share these specific symptoms and your suspicions, it should help them in figuring it out. Don't worry, she'll be back on the road before you know it! Keep me posted. Good luck! Cheers,
Hey! Wow, thanks a lot for your detailed response! The proximity of the issue with the recent maintenance did indeed get me thinking along those lines. Disheartening, becasue we all trust these professionals to keep our ladies ship-shape, isn't it? At the same time, you mentioning about the relay in your sister's Lodgy just confirms my initial suspicion. Can't rule anything out at this point. Would be awesome if it's just the relay acting up, cause that'll be a cheaper fix. Finger's crossed! Taking your advice to heart, I've made an appointment with my mechanic for first thing tomorrow. I'll make sure to keep you posted on how it all pans out. Thanks again for the solid advice and here's hoping for the best! Cheers!
Hey! Dealt with a somewhat similar issue on my own 2014 Dacia Duster a while back. Just a car enthusiast with a fair share of bumps and bruises from dealing with car issues (so, some hands-on experience but far from being a pro). Ended up at my local workshop for a thorough look-see. Turns out, the issue was a defective cable connection. Cost me around 155 Euro to get it rectified - include labour rate and spare part. They basically replaced the cable and I've had no issues since. While it's possible your problem is the cable as well, it's tough to say without more info. You know, things like if you're experiencing any other symptoms or if you've had any work done recently. So, could you share more details about your Lodgy? Hope this helps some and looking forward to hearing back! Cheers,
