Hey there, So grateful for your reply! Gives me a clearer picture about what's going on. Your issue sounds scarily close to mine, not gonna lie. Had to take a moment to digest all that catastrophe. The repair work you mentioned sounds quite complex. Just out of curiosity, do you happen to remember the cost for these fixes? Not sure how much this dent's gonna put in my wallet. By the way, since you had it all patched up, has anything else cropped up? I worry once they dig in, they might uncover something else. Hoping not, though. Cheers!

Hey again, Glad to provide some insight! You're right, it was a bit of a doozy to fix. If I remember correctly, the entire cost to get the wrong engine oil issue sorted was around 175 Euro. It included the oil change, replacing the oil filter, flushing out the oil tank and the needed repairs to the engine bearings. Not exactly pocket change, but in my case it was a necessary expense to prevent further damage. And to answer your next question, after getting that sorted, I haven't stumbled upon any new issues. The 'Engine Oil Pressure Too Low' warning light hasn't popped up since my visit to the mechanic. The ride's been smooth, like nothing unseemly ever took place. I guess once you address the root cause, the domino effect stops. Just remember every case is unique and your Lodgy might have different challenges. It's always best to let a professional have a good look-see. Hoping your wallet doesn't take too hard of a hit though! Cheers!

Hey back! You've really put my mind at ease knowing what to expect, although parting with 175 Euro is going to sting a bit. Still, that's way better than an unexpected hefty bill, I'm sort of prepared now. It's a solid relief that no additional problems have popped up for you after the repairs...very reassuring indeed! Taking your advice on board, I'll be giving the professionals a ring now to get my Lodgy sorted out. Cross your fingers for me that they don't unearth anything major once they start the job. Thanks again, you're a lifesaver! Cheers.

Hey there, Had a similar pickle with my 2015 Dacia Duster. Turns out the culprit was incorrect engine oil. Was no picnic because those annoying metal bits you spotted, in my case that meant some engine wear and tear. You know, every engine has its specific type of oil viscosity it needs. Put in the wrong oil and you're in for a world of hurt. My last garage visit, they had to do a complete oil change, replace my oil filter, and clean the oil tank. Most importantly, they had to patch up the engine damage, mostly to the bearings which had suffered from the wrong oil use. It was a good amount of work but trust me, it was absolutely essential. I strongly suggest you get your Lodgy checked ASAP because if it's a similar issue, low engine oil pressure will cause your engine parts to grind against each other which is no good news. About the speedo warning light, ask your mechanic to run a full diagnostics, it could show some link to the oil issue. Best of luck fixing things up!
