Hey there! Your memory tank is still running fine! You haven't asked about the cost before, no worries. To get the whole cable connection to the outside door handle sorted it set me back 170€. So, wasn't exactly pocket change but totally worth it in the end. And to answer your other question, since having the work done, my Dacia has been behaving itself quite nicely - no more sketchy attempts at locking and unlocking. It was like a weight lifted off my shoulders to tell you truth. The keyless entry problem was totally fixed by the mechanic, thankfully without more issues popping up so far.
