Dayz torque converter issue

Thanks for the reply! It seems most pronounced between 2nd and 3rd gear. And regarding the fluid, I checked the level, and it seems okay, and it doesn't smell burnt, which I read can be a sign of clutch problems. Could you elaborate on what you experienced with your Dayz?

Okay, so mine wasn't quite as bad, no grinding thank goodness, just some hesitation when accelerating, especially uphill. Eventually, the transmission started acting up. Turns out, it was the torque converter like you suspect. Honestly, get it checked out by a workshop; messing with automatic transmissions is beyond my pay grade. Better safe than sorry!

Appreciate the advice! Took it to the workshop today, and after diagnostics, they confirmed it's indeed the torque converter. Repair cost is estimated at 2120€. Not ideal, but at least I know what's wrong. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

Woah, that sounds rough. I had something kinda like that with my Dayz, although maybe not as many symptoms. Grinding noises are never good. Slipping usually means the clutch isn't grabbing like it should. Is it happening in all gears, or just some? Maybe the fluid is low?
