Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Good to know it wasn't a big drama for you. Could you happen to remember how much you paid for the repair? And have you noticed any other problems since then? It would be really helpful to know about them. Thanks a lot!

Hey, you're welcome! So, the cost of the repair wasn't even that high. I had to pay €95 to fix the faulty cable or the plug connection from the sensor. Since the breakdown, I went to the mechanic and the faulty signal from the ambient temperature sensor was corrected. Since then, my air conditioning system and cooling/heating performance have been running perfectly. So I can really only recommend having this checked by a professional. It's really no big deal and should hopefully solve your problem!

Great, that's very encouraging to hear! 95 is really an acceptable price to fix the problem. I will definitely get someone to take a look at it. Thanks for sharing your experience, I definitely feel more informed and less stressed now. Hopefully it goes as smoothly on my car as it did on yours. Thanks so much again!

Hey, had the same problem with my 2008 Toyota Auris. I took my car to the garage because of the same fault. In my case it was the sensor, or more precisely the cable or the plug connection from the sensor, which was defective. Had to be replaced with a new one. It was annoying, but by no means a serious problem. The replacement and the waiting time were no big deal. So don't worry, just get it checked by a professional and it should be running smoothly again soon.
