Defrost Flap Issue

My 2015 Lexus NX gasoline heater isn't blowing hot air, and I keep getting windshield fogging. I scanned for errors and it says something about the defrost air distribution flap being faulty. Could a bad cable or plug really be the problem? Anyone else had this?

I had a similar issue with my NX – though I didn't check for error codes myself. The low heat output and constant windshield fogging sound very familiar. Did you check the air circulation settings? Sometimes that can cause weird issues with air distribution.

Yeah, I messed around with the air circulation, both auto and manual, but no luck. Where exactly did you find the problem in your NX? Was it actually the air distribution flap?

I didn't dive in myself to check the flap. Honestly, messing with the dashboard panel and air distribution stuff seemed risky. I took it to a workshop, they ran diagnostics, and confirmed it was related to the flap motor. They mentioned a possible defective connection. If you're seeing error codes pointing to the flap, it might be worth getting it checked out by a professional. The repair was around 95€.

Thanks a bunch! Sounds like I'll be heading to the workshop then. Knowing it's likely a connection issue with the flap motor helps a lot. I'll post what happens.
