Difficulties with the key on the Renault Arkana - possible antenna problems?

Hey guys, I'm a bit worried about my Renault Arkana from 2019, 84,642 km mileage, hybrid engine. I often have problems with the key. I think it could be due to a faulty antenna in the bumper. Have any of you had similar problems and can report what the mechanic said about it? I didn't leave the garage happy last time... Thanks in advance!

Hey, I have a 2017 Renault Megane and had the same problem with my comfort key. In my case, it was actually the Comfort Access control unit that was faulty. As far as I know, the control unit sends the signals to the key and also receives them again - if the device is defective, there can be problems with the key. Oh yes, and the aerial wasn't the latest either, so it was also replaced. Was it a serious problem? Well, serious in the sense that I was often in the garage at the beginning, but after it was fixed, everything was fine. It's more annoying than seriously dangerous. Hope that helps you.

Hey, thanks for your reply! It sounds like the whole thing wasn't cheap. Can you remember how much you paid for it? And did anything else come up afterwards about the key or aerial, or did everything go smoothly?

Hey, no problem, I'm glad if I can help you. Well, I was a bit shocked when I saw the bill - the whole thing cost me €600. But since the Comfort Access control unit was repaired and the antenna in the bumper was replaced, everything has been working great. Since the visit to the mechanic, I haven't had any more problems with the key or the aerial. So I think the cost was worth it after all. I hope you have peace and quiet with your car again soon!

Wow, that was certainly a blow. But it's good to hear that it was worth it and that you didn't have any further problems. Your experiences do reassure me a little and make me more confident that my problem can be solved too. I think I'll take my Arkana to the garage and see what the mechanic thinks. Thanks again for your helpful information!
