Discussing Electrical Faults and Terminal 15 Issues in 2023 Renault Arkana

Hey fellow car enthusiasts, I've got a 2023 Renault Arkana, gasoline, sat on about 100,613 km right now and she's acting up. Suddenly facing some electrical problems, storing faults outta the blue, lights are on a rave, and battery's putting in extra effort on the start. Smells like it might be an issue with terminal 15. Anyone run into similar troubles and got any stories to share about your mechanic trip? Would really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

Hey there, A few months back my 2021 Renault Koleos was giving me a similar headache. My motor control main relay went wonky - it showed almost the same symptoms. Out of the blue, I had all these electrical glitches, as if the car threw a party without tellin' me, and the hard start, oh boy, the battery clearly was unhappy. Took it into the garage and yep, it was indeed the motor control main relay being defective. I guess that Terminal 15 issue you suspect might be spot on considering my experience. The mechanic had to replace it, and that did the trick - everything back to normal. Nothing life-threatening but sure gave me a bit of a shock. Cars and their complex electrical systems, eh? Anyway, keep us posted about your Arkana. Guess you'll fare well just like I did. Good luck!

Hey there, Appreciate you sharing your story. Definitely sounds awfully similar to the mess I'm in. It's a real pain when stuff like this hits outta nowhere. Seems like terminal 15 is more often at fault than one would guess, huh? I'm preparing myself for a visit to my mechanic, hoping it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. By the way, do you remember how much you ended up shelling out for the relay replacement? Also, has any new ghost shown up in the machine since your fix? Hope your Koleos is running smooth now. Thanks for the help again! Cheers.

Hey again, Yeah, I feel your pain. Just when you think you're good to go, your ride throws a curveball. But hey, that's part and parcel of the joy of owning cars, right? As for the cost - it set me back by around 130€ for the relay replacement. It stung a little, won't lie, but considering the peace of mind I got in return, I'd say it's well spent. Especially, when you're up against these mysterious electrical gremlins. As for the return of any new apparitions... well, since the fix, things have been surprisingly smooth sailing. The repair seems to have sorted out that pesky Interruption of Terminal 15 issue. So my Koleos has been behaving nicely – no more surprise parties of warning lights or other mischief! I reckon you'll have the same luck with your Arkana. Keep us posted on how it all goes, man. Good luck with the mechanic trip. Cheers!

Hey, Sure is always a rollercoaster ride with these hunky, mechanical beasts, isn't it? Thanks for throwing some light on the cost. 130€, not a small amount by any means, but well, the peace of mind surely matters more. And seeing things worked so well for your Koleos, it's given me a good dose of optimism for my Arkana - hoping for a smooth run post-fix. Keeping fingers crossed for no more 'unplanned parties' in the future, haha. I'll definitely update the thread once I've sorted out my issue. Thanks for your help and kind words. Truly appreciate it. Ride on! Cheers.

Start by checking the basics: ensure the battery connections are secure and the battery itself is in good condition. A weak or faulty battery can sometimes trigger warning lights. If the battery is fine, it might be a good idea to have the vehicle's diagnostic system scanned for error codes, which can provide more specific information about the electric motor issue. Given the safety implications of an electric motor failure, it's advisable to have a professional mechanic inspect it if the problem persists. Let us know how it goes or if you have more questions!
