Discussing Potential Knock Sensor Issues in 2020 Lexus LC Hybrid
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Lexus LC Hybrid is experiencing issues such as a check engine light, power struggles, jerking during acceleration, excessive fuel consumption, and strange engine noises. The suspected cause is a faulty knock sensor or related wiring issues. A similar problem in a 2018 Lexus LS hybrid was resolved by fixing a faulty cable/plug. Checking diagnostic codes is recommended to confirm the issue, and if unresolved, visiting a workshop is advised.

Hey! Thanks for sharing your experience, really appreciate it. I didn't check the error codes yet, but I'll surely do that and let you know. By the way, so far my LC Hybrid has clocked 100258 KM, and the last service was done just a few months back. So, I'm hoping it's an issue with the sensor or the plug. Anyway, will get the codes checked and come back to you. Cheers!

Hey! No worries glad to help! Yeah, seeing as the last service was only a few months back, it really could be a sensor or wire problem, as you mentioned. A faulty knock sensor or a troublesome wire could definitely be causing issues like these. When you get those diagnostic codes, don't hesitate to throw them up here. I'm by no means an expert, but I can tell you what worked for my LS hybrid. Worst case, you could always take it to the workshop if things get a bit complicated. Keep us updated, and hopefully, you'll get that Lexus purring smoothly again in no time! Best of luck with it.

Hey, cheers for all your help! Will surely get those diagnostic codes and let ya know. And yes, you're absolutely right - if things get too tricky, to the workshop it is! Really hoping it's just a minor sensor or wire issue. Will surely keep you updated, fingers crossed! Thanks again for all your support, appreciate it big time!

Hey there, I had a quite similar issue with my 2018 Lexus LS hybrid a while back. I'd describe my car knowledge as low to some experience, so I'm not an expert but know a thing or two. Took it to my local garage and after a deep dive, they figured out it was indeed a faulty cable/plug. Cost me around 95 Euro to get it all sorted, not much of a pocket-burner thankfully. Do you know if your Lexus has any diagnostic codes thrown up? Might help me give more precise advice. Cheers!
