Discussion about low tire pressure on the Toyota GT86
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a recurring issue with a Toyota GT86 displaying a 'tire pressure too low' warning. The problem is suspected to be a fault in the tire pressure monitoring system. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the entire system, which fixed the problem permanently. The suggested solution is to have the system checked and potentially replaced by a reliable mechanic.

Hey, had similar trouble with my GT86, a technical problem, tire pressure monitoring system... Welcome to the club, right? 😉 The whole thing had to be replaced, everything was back to normal afterwards. How was it financially for you? Do you remember how much it cost back then? And did anything else come up afterwards that could be related to the problem? Thank you!

Hey, welcome to the club, that's right! 😄 I had a similar thing with the antenna tire pressure monitoring system defect. I had to have the whole thing repaired and it cost me €255. But after that, the problem with the tire pressure monitoring system, which constantly displayed 'tire pressure too low', was fixed. After the repair, my mechanic got the problem under control and there have been no further problems since. Definitely worth the money, I tell you!

Wow, thanks for the answers guys. So it looks like there really could be a problem with the system. 255 for the repair, that's not exactly cheap, but if it solves the problem, it's probably worth it. Just need to find a trustworthy mechanic to tackle it properly. Thanks for your input guys! This has really helped me.

Hey, I had the same problem with my Toyota Yaris (year 2014). Mine said 'antenna tire pressure monitoring system defective'. The mechanic ended up having to replace the whole system because it wasn't working correctly, even though it only looked like a minor problem at first. And just because the display only showed a low tire pressure. But after the repair, all the problems were gone. So yeah, could well be a system fault, mate.
