Thanks for the quick reply! I did a visual inspection of the pedal switch, but I didn't test it with a multimeter or anything. How did you diagnose the pedal switch as the culprit? And with the clock spring, is there a way to test that without taking everything apart?

I didn't do any advanced testing, to be honest. My mechanic suspected the pedal switch right away because it's a common failure point. As for the clock spring, it's tricky to test without proper equipment. Given that you have an error code and have checked the basics, it might be best to get a professional to take a look. Could save you a lot of time and frustration. Best of luck!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a workshop as you suggested. It turned out to be a defective cable to the cruise control unit, like I first suspected. They fixed the connection, cleared the error, and it's working perfectly again. Total cost was 95€.

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Chevrolet DMax – although mine is a bit newer. Cruise control packed it in, and it turned out to be a faulty pedal switch. Have you looked at that specifically? Also, have you checked the clock spring in the steering wheel? I know that can sometimes cause issues with cruise control.
