Doblo transport mode issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Fiat Doblo is experiencing issues with transport mode being active, causing a general electrical malfunction and a non-functional navigation system. Transport mode is typically used by manufacturers to conserve battery life during shipping and may not have been deactivated upon delivery. The solution involves using diagnostic tools to deactivate transport mode, which is usually done by a dealer or certified workshop. In this case, the issue was resolved at a certified workshop at no cost.

Thanks. Are you suggesting a deactivation procedure exists post-delivery that might fix this? Could I do it myself, or is special equipment needed?

Yes, exactly! With my Megane, the dealer had to use their diagnostic tool to reset the car's computer and disable the transport mode. I tried looking for DIY solutions online, but nothing worked. It seems like it's often a dealer-only kind of thing. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop; shouldn't cost anything if it's just a deactivation.

I took it to a certified workshop, and the transport mode was deactivated via diagnostic software. The cost was 0€.

Hey, that sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my old Renault Megane. Basically, 'transport mode' is a setting that car manufacturers use to disable certain features during shipping to save battery life. It usually affects things like the radio, navigation, and sometimes even limits the car's speed. Did you check if the dealer forgot to deactivate it?
