Thanks for sharing your experience. I had this exact issue on my Ram 1500 last winter. The windshield washer system completely failed despite having a full reservoir. The wiper fluid sensor was sending false readings and the washer motor was struggling too. How much did the repair end up costing you? Has the windshield cleaning system worked properly since the fix? Would be good to know if any other electrical gremlins popped up after sorting the washer fluid sensor.

Glad to update on my 2013 Ram experience. After getting it properly diagnosed, the fix was straightforward and cost only 25€ to resolve the washer fluid low warning. The service included a thorough check of the windshield washer system and sensor replacement. The windshield washer has worked flawlessly since the repair, no more false warnings or system failures. The washer motor runs smoothly now and the spray pattern is perfect. No electrical issues have appeared in the months following the fix. Worth mentioning that regular maintenance of the washer fluid system helps prevent these problems. Keeping quality windshield washer fluid in the reservoir and occasionally cleaning the spray nozzles goes a long way in preventing sensor malfunctions.

Thanks for the input. Finally got my Ram fixed properly! Turns out the warning light issue was more complex than expected. The mechanic found that not only was the washer fluid sensor faulty, but there was also a damaged wire harness causing intermittent electrical problems. The total repair came to 180€, which included replacing the sensor, fixing the wiring, and cleaning out the spray jets. The washer motor also needed adjustment. Worth every cent though, the windshield washer system works perfectly now and the warning light stays off like it should. Big difference working with a competent mechanic this time. They took the time to properly diagnose everything instead of just rushing through it. No more error codes or system failures since the repair.

Had a similar issue with my 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel. The windshield washer warning light kept appearing despite a full reservoir. The problem turned out to be a faulty washer fluid sensor combined with clogged spray jets. Initial troubleshooting showed the pump was working, but no fluid reached the windshield. After a thorough inspection, found that mineral deposits had built up in the spray jets, blocking fluid flow. The dashboard light issue was caused by a corroded sensor sending false readings to the system. The fix required: Replacing the washer fluid level sensor, Cleaning the spray jets with a fine wire, Flushing the entire system, Replacing worn pump wiring Not a major mechanical issue, but definitely needs proper diagnosis. If the spray jets are spraying weakly or not at all while the pump runs, start by checking for blockages. The warning light staying on with a full reservoir typically points to sensor problems. These symptoms often get overlooked during routine maintenance but can indicate deeper electrical issues if left unchecked.
