DS3 ABS Lateral Acceleration Sensor Fault

Hi, I'm having a nightmare with my 2016 Citroen DS3 diesel. The ABS lamp keeps lighting up, and the ABS system seems to be failing intermittently. I ran a diagnostic scan, and it's throwing up an error related to the lateral acceleration sensor. From what I've read, the control unit itself might be defective. Has anyone else experienced this? My local mechanic reckons it could be a costly fix, around 1000€. Car's done 210772 km. Any insights?

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my DS3. ABS light coming on, traction control going haywire... Is the steering feeling a bit odd too? It was like trying to balance a broom on your nose!

Steering does feel a little strange at times, now that you mention it. Almost like it's correcting itself slightly. Did you get the same error code relating to the lateral acceleration sensor? And what was the eventual fix?

Yep, lateral acceleration sensor was the culprit. The garage said the control unit was kaput. Unfortunately, they weren't wrong about it being pricey. Bite the bullet and get it sorted; it's a safety issue. I went to a workshop.

Thanks for the confirmation! Sounds like I'm heading down the same road. At least I know what to expect now. Looks like I'll have to book it in and get that control unit replaced. Cheers!
