DS3 Antenna Keyless Entry Issues

Alright, gearheads, I'm stumped. My 2016 Citroen DS3, gasoline engine, is throwing a tantrum. Mileage is at 248952 km. The bumper antenna seems borked. I'm getting an error in the memory, the keyless entry is acting up (locking/unlocking randomly), and now I can't even start the thing without sticking the key in the ignition! I suspect a dodgy cable or plug on the antenna itself. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar gremlin with my old BMW 3 Series. Keyless entry going haywire, radio reception cutting out… turned out to be a corroded connection at the antenna base. Any chance you've checked the voltage at the antenna amplifier?

Voltage at the antenna amplifier, eh? Good shout! Where exactly is that amp located on the DS3? Is it easy enough to get to, or am I going to need to pull half the interior apart?

On the BMW, it was tucked away in the rear pillar, but Citroen often hides them near the rear window or under the headlining. Before you start dismantling things, I would advise that you go to the workshop. Considering all the symptoms, it is possible that the vehicle's control unit is faulty.

Cheers! Much appreciated. I took your advice and went to the workshop. As suspected, the connection was indeed defective. 95€ and the car is running perfectly again!
