DS3 Climate Control Issue

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2010 Citroen DS3 diesel. The climate control seems to be playing up. Basically, the windshield fogs up easily, and the heating is pretty weak. I took it to a local garage, and they found an error stored related to the defrost air distribution flap. They reckon the heating output being too low is related. They suspect a dodgy cable or plug connection. Mileage is only 37548 km. Any ideas?

Hey, I have a DS3 too, and I had similar issues with the ventilation system last winter. Windshield fogging was a nightmare! Does the air seem to be coming out of the wrong vents, or is it just weak no matter where it's directed?

Yeah, it does feel like the air isn't always coming out where it should, especially when I select defrost. Sometimes it feels like it's mostly going to the footwell, even with the dial set to the windshield. Could that be the same air distribution flap issue?

Sounds exactly like what I experienced. The garage was spot on with their diagnosis, I'd bet on it. I spent ages trying to figure it out. Honestly, it's probably best to get it checked out by a workshop. These climate control systems can be tricky.

Thanks for confirming! I went ahead and had the garage take a look at the connection, and that did the trick. They replaced a faulty connector and charged me 95€. Problem solved!
