DS3 Electric Seat Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Citroen DS3 experienced an issue with a non-functional passenger electric seat and an error code. The problem was suspected to be related to a weak battery. It was suggested to check the battery voltage both at rest and with the engine running, as well as to inspect the seat switch if the battery was fine. After performing the voltage checks, it was confirmed that the battery was indeed the problem, leading to a repair costing 290€.

Thanks! I haven't load-tested it yet, but I will. What voltage should I be seeing at rest and with the engine running? Should I also check the seat switch?

At rest, a good battery should be around 12.6 volts or higher. Engine running, you want to see 13.7 to 14.7 volts to know the charging system is working. If the battery is okay, then check the seat switch. A workshop should check this properly, as electrical issues can be tricky.

Yeah, a weak battery could be the problem, especially with all the electrics in these cars. Have you load-tested the battery? What voltage are you getting at the terminals, both with the engine off and running? Any other electrical issues, like dimming lights or slow cranking?
