DS3 Engine Jerking and Hissing
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Citroen DS3 was experiencing engine jerking, a check engine light, hissing noises, and stalling at idle, suspected to be related to the intake manifold or turbo system. A suggestion was made to check the boost sensor cable and plug connection, which was found to be loose and corroded. Cleaning and properly connecting the boost sensor cable resolved the issues, eliminating the jerking and hissing noises.

Cheers for that! You reckon it was definitely the boost sensor cable? Did it cause the engine to stall as well? And what about the hissing noise? Was that happening with yours? Just trying to narrow it down before I start ripping things apart!

Yep, pretty sure it was the boost sensor cable/plug. Cleaned it up and made sure it was properly connected, and that fixed most of it, although I kept getting a slightly unstable idle for a little while. I also had a hissing noise, which disappeared after fixing the boost sensor connection, so it's worth a shot! If you want a proper fix bring it to a garage. I believe it will cost around 95€

You're a legend! Took your advice and had a look at the boost sensor cable and plug. It was indeed dodgy! Cleaned it all up, gave it a proper connection, and the problems seem to have vanished, I will bring the car to the workshop to make sure everything's aligned! Thanks so much for your help! Saved me a ton of stress (and probably money!).

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my DS3 a while back. Check the cable and plug connection going to your boost sensor. Mine was loose and corroded. Gave me all kinds of grief – similar symptoms to what you're describing. Could be worth a look before you start throwing money at it!
