DS3 Exhaust Treatment Malfunction

I own a 2019 Citroen DS3 with a gasoline engine. I'm experiencing an exhaust treatment malfunction. The check engine light is on, the engine runs roughly, there's an exhaust leak, and a strong exhaust smell. Could this be related to the catalytic converter or the EGR valve?

Hey, I had something similar happen on my DS3. Check engine light, rough running... Sounded like a tractor! Is the exhaust leaking near the front of the car? Was thinking it could be a lambda sensor, or even a hole in the exhaust pipe.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the exhaust seems to be leaking near the front. How did you resolve the issue with your DS3? Did you replace the lambda sensor yourself?

I didn't tackle it myself. With the exhaust leak and the rough running, I took it straight to a workshop. Turned out it was the lambda sensor. Saved me a lot of hassle and potential further damage. I'd suggest getting it checked out properly, especially with those symptoms.

Understood. I appreciate the advice. I've booked it in for a diagnostic check at a local garage. It was indeed the lambda sensor. Total repair cost: 375€. Thank you for your help!
