DS3 Fuel Filter Heater Issue

My 2014 Citroen DS3 diesel is throwing a code related to the fuel filter heater. I'm getting reduced power, rough idling, and increased fuel consumption. The code points to the heater circuit. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues on my DS3 – also a diesel. Check the cable and connector going to the fuel filter heater. That's a common weak point.

Thanks for the tip. Was the issue intermittent for you? My symptoms seem to come and go. The connector looks alright at first glance. Was the faulty connection obvious?

Yeah, mine was intermittent too. The connection might look ok, but give it a wiggle. It's probably corroded inside, which is hard to spot. Eventually, I took it to a workshop. They diagnosed a faulty connection pretty fast.

I'll give the connection a proper look and see if it makes any difference. If not, it's off to the shop. It was indeed the connector as suggested. A quick repair set me back 95€.
