DS3 Gearbox Issues

Citroen DS3 (2011, gasoline engine) owners, has anyone seen this? My gearbox is acting up. Symptoms: engine warning light, error code, emergency mode, slipping gears, and a grinding noise. Diagnostic points to a faulty transmission oil temperature sensor. Could low gearbox oil level really be the culprit?

Yeah, same error code related to the transmission oil temperature sensor. I haven't checked the oil level yet; I'll do that tomorrow. Did topping it off fix it for you, or was it something more involved?

Nah, topping it off didn't do squat for me. The workshop told me that, with those symptoms, it was safer to get it checked professionally than risk further damage. Trust me, it's worth it to avoid a complete transmission meltdown. Is the car still under warranty?

Thanks for the advice. I'll book it in at a workshop and post the outcome. Total cost: 365€ for the sensor replacement, including labor.
