If the cable and connector were fine, what was the problem? Did you replace the sensor itself, or was it something else?

I'd recommend getting it checked by a certified technician. My cable and connector looked okay, but I took it to a workshop. Their diagnostics found the real problem.

Took it to the workshop, and it was a faulty O2 sensor. Replaced it for 95€, and the check engine light is gone. Fuel consumption seems normal again. Thanks for the help!

I also drive a DS3. I recently had the check engine light and a diagnostic code pointing to the oxygen sensor. After checking, the cable and connector were fine.
