DS3 Overvoltage Faults

I'm experiencing a troubling issue with my 2017 Citroen DS3 diesel. It has 112476 km on the clock and I'm getting many fault memory entries relating to overvoltage. This has led to the failure of various systems, and the battery seems weak when starting. It generally seems to be an electrical malfunction. I think the battery is heavily discharged or defective. Could this be the source of the overvoltage problem?

DS3, eh? I had something similar with my DS3. Check the car battery and its connections first. That's where I'd start looking. Had any work done recently?

Thanks for the advice. I haven't had any work done recently. When you experienced the issue with your DS3, were you getting similar symptoms? I'm trying to ascertain whether it is the battery before I purchase a replacement, as I don't want to waste money.

Yeah, sounds like the same headache. I tried to do it myself but it was too complicated. You really should go to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly.

I appreciate you confirming that you were experiencing similar issues. I took it to a local workshop and they confirmed it was a defective battery causing the overvoltage. The final bill came to 290€, including the new battery and labour. Thank you for your help!
